One of the first music projects I was involved with when we hit London in November ‘96 was with singer Rebecca Leigh-White, she was a brilliant vocalist, especially in the art of doing backing vocals, I was too young and ignorant (read arrogant) to appreciate it all at the time, the fact that she’d sung with @pinkfloyd @officialqueenmusic and @ericclapton ao also didn’t really register at the time, hilariously naive of me. Anyway, she taught me a lot that I’ve come to appreciate later on in my work in the industry. Thank you Rebecca. 🙏🎼❤️🦋 #camden #london #rebeccaleighwhite #road #madeinheaven
14 years ago, just about to go on at Alexandra Palace to rip through the Abbey Road medley for Sir George Martin and Co, a true honour and immense privilege, he did sign The Beatles after all. 😉 Thank you Ali 🙏💙
12 years ago we were at The Bush honouring #matthewjay who passed away far far to soon. It was an emotional evening having prior to that finished his (posthumous) album ‘Further Than Tomorrow’. Thanks for letting us be in involved #hillaryjay much love. 🙏😘❤️
With Nat and Co in Honolulu three years ago literally playing for The Man. It was hot, dusty, good fun…… and very republican. May that party never win another election. ⚡️✌️🦇🙏🌎🎺
I asked Bob Elliott to start with a square as a symbol of the fact that we’ve done a very privileged 47 days of isolation and then to draw whatever he liked…. He went away and came back with the universe. I thought it very poetic hence won’t give him any shit for not eating his rye bread for lunch. BREAKING NEWS: I’ve stopped using the screen before bedtime, it’s over and doesn’t send you off proper, never mind the following shit sleep. So, what better time to read? I’ve even read in the morning before getting up, I know, ridiculous. Current paper is ‘Sabiens’. Another good place to start could be the new Ravi Shankar biog by our good friend Oliver Craske. We’ve had a few coffees in London and Berlin over the last 3-4 years where he’s talked about his travels to secure interviews for the book, the discipline that goes into writing a book of this magnitude and also the difficulty in working to a deadline (2020). I was always left very impressed by his outlook and determination in getting the book done in time. So, congrats Ollie and well done, no easy feat mate, can’t wait to read it. ⚡️👍✌️😘
